I’ve been dipping into my Penguin dictionary this morning.
“Liberalization” – Penguin spell it with a z but I prefer an s - means: to make liberal-minded, to become liberal. It sounds great, especially when you check out the root noun “liberal”: generous, abundant, ample; broadminded, tolerant; having wide sympathies; advanced in views; belong to a moderately progressive British political party…
Better and better.
Abundant, broadminded, tolerant…

On Saturday, 19 November, 2011, we were awarded the Lex Spoletina, which is presented to people (like us), who have some connection with Spoleto (we live and work there), and do what they can to honour and promote the name of their city.
We would like to thank everyone who voted for us, all the people who came to the presentation ceremony in person, or in spirit, to the association “Amici di Spoleto” who hosted the event, and to the Lord Mayor of Spoleto, Daniele Benedetti, who presented the award.
Most of all, we want to thank Luca Crovi.
